The
Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates of the Desert
The
Heart Center at Eisenhower Medical Center is a multidisciplinary comprehensive heart
care center at the Eisenhower Medical Center, which was organized
to offer state of the art equipment, technology, and treatment for
patients requiring heart care. The Heart Center is comprised of
cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, electrophysiologists, internists,
pulmonologists and critical care medicine physicians, as well as
interventional radiologists.
Heart
Center cardiologists offer a full array of invasive cardiology procedures
such as coated stents, intravascular ultrasound, intracoronary radiation,
pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, as well as noninvasive
echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear scanning.
Cardiothoracic
Surgery Associates of the Desert (CSAD) was founded in May 2001
by two surgeons who are committed to providing comprehensive and
contemporary cardiothoracic surgical care to the Coachella Valley
and surrounding communities. The practice is focused on providing
quality and attentive care to our patients and we place a priority
on collaboration and leadership within the health care community.
Our practice offers a full range of heart bypass and valve surgery,
including innovative surgical procedures such as: beating heart
surgery, bloodless cardiac surgery, trans-myocardial laser revascularization,
high risk heart failure surgery, and the radiofrequency MAZE procedure
for atrial fibrillation as well as thoracoscopic radiofrequency maze.
We also provide comprehensive lung and esophageal cancer surgery, as well as vascular surgery, including
carotid endarterectomies.
CSAD
is contracted with the majority of traditional insurance providers,
preferred provider organizations and HMO's in the Coachella Valley
and we are also Medicare providers. Our office staff can help answer
any specific questions about your insurance plans and necessary
authorizations.
